Old Mill Doodles’ F1 Goldendoodles are a 50/50 cross between an AKC golden retriever and an AKC Standard Poodle. The result of crossing two purebred dogs is a hybrid, not to be confused with a mutt or heinz 57. The purpose of this cross breeding is to produce a dog that is less prone to genetic disease, and is easily tolerated by allergy sufferers. The puppies inherit their desire to please from the retriever parent and the intelligence to do it really well from their poodle parent.
F1 Goldendoodles will have a wavy coat that is at least 80% non-shedding. We only breed our Golden Retrievers with Standard Poodles to produce medium size Goldendoodles. We offer the sproodles for those families wanting a small dog. As with all the doodles, the goldendoodles are very people oriented, adapt well to your lifestyle, and train with amazing ease.
